Happy New Year

The medication for our first cycle starting on the 2nd of January 2013.

wishing you all a Happy New Year with lots of ttc and baby making success.

This is the medication for our first cycle, starting with Suprecur Injections tomorrow (2nd of January 2013) to send my ovaries to sleep for the next 3 weeks. We are having a blood test on the 23rd and a first scan appointment on the 24th to see if the Suprecur was effective. If all is good, we are starting stimulation with Gonal F after that.

It’s probably one of the more unusual ways to start your new year, that’s for sure. I just hope we end up with a little baby on our first try, leaving all this mess behind until we crave for a second baby. I am quite anxious about the first injection tomorrow and so is the husband I think. And I hope I am not going utterly mental and hormonal. Let’s see. Wish us luck!

  1. I find it interesting to compare our processes. You are in the UK? Do most practices use injections instead of birth control pills there? Just curious. I like to compare cultures and norms. 🙂

    • Hi K, to be honest, I am not sure. The standard practice of my NHS hospital is the long protocol with suprecur injections. I think your version is what they call a short protocol over here. They’d do this in our hospital in case you’re of higher risk to get OHSS I think.
